Is the BOSS VE-500 everything the BOSS VE-20 is and more?

I've always maintained the VE-20 is the best vocal effects processor around, including your shitty TC Electronics and whatever mixer or racks or software or whatever. But someone help me out here, whats going on in with this VE-500 and should I be splashing that dosh, that cheese.

I don't like overly processed vocals, but I could see this being cool for some applications.

i dunno about the new one but i like the VE-20 very much. didn't think it was gunna be all that great but i was dead wrong

I think it needs to be in the wild before people can say for sure? I mean, the DD500 looked incredible on paper, but I still see a lot more DD20's than DD500's. It may be the same with the VE series...

The DD500 is amazing. I'm not sure why more people can't jive with it. The entire DD series has been great IMO. The ability to endlessly tweak the sounds and assign the footswitches to do what you want, are what make the pedals great to me.

Totally. The RV-500 with the switch capabilities is endlessly cool. This new vocal 500 looks fun.
