Best tube amp for clean sound buy effect pedal driven.

Hey I'm trying to look for an affordable tube amp that has a decent clean and take pedals well. Ome that'll work great with distortion pedals, fuzz pedals , and noise pedals. Thanks.

Try a modded Crate V18 if you can, they were sold for $99 and should be rather cheap.

i just bought a '74 Traynor YGM-4 last week. amazing build quality... all tube... sounds beautiful, takes pedals beautifully. actually, i've been meaning to post it and show it off. i paid $300 for it! look for old traynor stuff on ebay or wherever and dont be afraid. YGMs YBAs YGLs etc.

Mesa Boogie DC-5 is what I use can can be had in the 500-600 range. A very usable clean channel (prolly one of the best mesa cleans) with graphic eq and great gain channel. The reverb is trash though.

The DC-5 can cover old school metallica and prog really well. And for alternative...you will have to go the pedal route with the clean channel. You just have to get used to the way the boogie eq works to really start dialing in your tone.

Peavey Triumph, or older Ultra's. Really flexible amps with amazing cleans, good crunch and lead channels. I got a 1x12" loaded with a Celestion v30 for $250 shipped.
