Is there a recommended type of solder to use for DIY and circuit bending pedals? Is any one type better or worse than the other? I know that there are a few different types: Rosin Core, Acid Core? etc...
I'm needing to invest in a better soldering iron and when I do I want to be sure I start using the "correct" type of solder for my projects. Rosin core so far doesn't seem to work very well...
thanks in advance,
Brooks

Re: Solder type?
rosin core is what you'll probably want to use.
if you're not getting good results, you may need to change your soldering technique a bit.

Re: Solder type?
the majority of solder is made lead free now, but it's probably a good idea to check and make sure anyways...
and yeah, rosin core is typically for electronics, though I've done fine using acide core plumbing solder, even.
