It seems they're behind schedule, since the Purr was supposed to be release in Q1, but we're deep into June. :idk:

I don't see anything on the Gore site, that you probably haven't already seen. Summer NAMM is only 15 days away, so hopefully a price and more demos will be unveiled then.

Syl, you can always ask Joe/Vintage King/Cusack (who I believe is the contract builder). :snax:

They're really puttin' the "later" in Porkolator.

Porkolator demo I heard sounded solid. really interested in that. dude at Vintage King is supposed to let me know when these hit stock, but he told me that in February or something, and prolly forgot about it at this point...

sure do wish there was a Purr demo that featured more than one setting. "God Only Knows" is one of my favorite songs, but it's not exactly probative as far as contrasting trem settings goes.

side note: was selling some pickups on craigslist just yesterday and I got an email from ToneKing, and immediately thought it was Gore. even asked the guy. obviously, turns out it wasn't and I was disappointed to say the least, even tho I fully realized all along that there's no way Joe would need some Duncans...

Porkolators are in stock at VK—I just bought one. Not sure what the deal is with Purrs, as they seem to be not listed on the site at the moment :idk:

After playing with the Porkolator a good bit over the past few days, I can say that I'm really happy with it.

Big takeaways:

-Not as gainy as I was expecting, which is kind of refreshing.
-The IN knob is nice for removing low end, almost acts like an EQ
-Guitar vol knob cleanup is DRASTIC. It's pretty cool how much it cleans up, but maybe my only gripe is that it happens too fast. There's a big change between full up and 9.5 on the knob.

Overall super, super cool, and probably a pedal that I'll use very regularly. Nasty enough, but a little more polite than I was expecting, and very usable.

Dang it, I just built a green ringer clone which has me pretty sorted for octaves now (running it into my creepyface is pretty goddamn gnarly)
