bombay kitteh sends her love, and she is FOR SURE a candidate for ILF kitteh spokesgirl.
Bombay breed kittehs are kinda rare, and today was her 1st birthday, she is full growed up, but still quite small and cute.
i think she smelled Tommy's kittehs on the FUZZHUGGER boxes, she sure was LOVING on those fuzzboxes!
this is MY kitteh scarlett......i rescued her from my old bass player. i had known her since she was a little kitteh, and i was her favorite person who ever came over to visit, so when my old bass player was gonna have to give her to the shelter.......well.....i could not let that happen

and there she is with me TELE
the TELE was built by Chiba, one of the mods at TGP. Chiba traded it to Scott Auld, and since Scott lives VERY close to me down here, we did a quick and easy trade for my strat.
this Tele is an American body in blonde. it was routed for neck humbucker, and the pickguard was custom made. The neck is a USA strat neck from 2001.
neck bucker is a Seymour Alnico II, and sounds REALLY good, allegedly the ALnico II is Slash's fave pickup.
bridge pickup is MONEY.......really surprsed me -- Seymour FIVE TWO pickup -- has alnico FIVE magnets on low strings, alnico TWo magnets on high strings. MAGNETS? HOW DO THEY FUCKING WORK?
well, the alnico FIVES are brighter for more snap on lower wound strings, and alnico TWO are mellower and deeper for the higher unwound strings, for less "icepick" and sting.
all i can say is that it's the BEST bridge pickup for a Tele I have ever heard.
there is a volume for each pickup, and a master tone control
then there is a coil tap switch for the neck bucker. this is NICE, and allows for more traditional Tele toanz. AND the pickups are wired RWRP from each other, so even when you are in full single coil mode and have BOTH pickups on, there is no hum.
as you can see, there was a lot of work, thought, and LOVE put into this part-o-caster. and 30 seconds after i put it in my hands, i knew i was gonna trade Scott for it.
i am really impressed with these two fuzzes from Tommy.....i gotta play with both of them some more. the Phantom Ring is the more immediately gratifying of the two, it rocks my octave fuzz ring modulated desires.
but the Chalice has some secrets that i have not explored yet.....i am gonna do some more demos of both. and hey, why not STACK THEM INTO EACH OTHER????
i love ILF. this place is kinda weird. but it's the only forum on the front of my Tele
