Same here: back into the kitty it goes. They did give me a coupon for $25 off, which, given tax, isn't worth much on their site these days, but it's better than nothing (still not better than a $150 baritone, however).

There are still some Reverb sellers w/ VM Jags & Jazzmasters at $299, but all the rest slid up to $399.

I got the email too I'm actually somewhat relieved because there would be so much overlap with my upcoming VI build, but maybe I can use this money to finally buy a decent bass.

Or maybe I'll go out to eat every night this week, who knows?

I remember about 10 years ago, there was a huge pricing error on Amazon.com, where for whatever reason, IMPORT versions of full-length CDs were priced at $0.99 each and people were on message boards posting like 100-album lists of all the music they bought. Amazon caught on after a day or so and cancelled all the orders.

Also the neck is the same as a bass vi so if you're trying to build one this is as cheap as a neck basically.

Heavily considering this just to have. Could easily refin it if I hate it.

That was my thought--sand it down. For 150 I would've pulled the trigger.
