I see what you did there.

The Moog Minifooger Ring Modulator is pretty decent. I like having a tone control to smooth or emphasize the amount of clang, and carrier wave bleedthrough is virtually inaudible (unless dirt is placed afterwards). At the current clearance price, this pedal is a steal. I can't wait to loop bell noises during the coming weekend.

You should post some sound clips here. :poke:

Then you should do that and post more sound clips. :snax:

Definitely hook up an expression pedal--it expands the frequency range (though maybe you knew that)....

We believe (correct us if we're wrong!) that the Ring Stinger™ is the only commercially available ring mod using the classic transformer matrix modulator (and not the ubiquitous modulator chip) which gives it the distictive vintage ring mod sound and germanium distortion.
That is the 1990s ad copy from Lovetone, which is still on the site. Some people still paste it in their listings.....but is it actually applicable in 2018? :erm:

No, it is not an accurate statement.

Schlappi Engineering Interstellar Radio

"Simulates the process of modulating and demodulating a signal for radio transmission - Perfect for use as chaotic noise source, (non tracking) oscillator, ring mod, or for an extreme distortion effect!

Features:
Voltage controlled aliasing, distortion, and frequency modulation effects

Two wide ranging voltage controlled square wave oscillators with individual outputs.

Controls:
CARRIER oscillator converts input into high frequency pulse train

DEMODULATOR oscillator inside control loop brings sound back to audio range

CV applies external voltage control to oscillators or uses input signal as audio rate FM

Internal oscillators can be replaced with external modulation sources

TYPE selects demodulation loop type (changes timbre and response)

ERROR output with threshold control

TONE control for filtering out the harshest of frequencies"

Yeah, I really like the sound and texture of that thing. Too bad I recently got the Adventure Audio Outer Rings.

Man, I'm really tempted to pick up the ADD (been looking at it all day on Reverb) even though I just grabbed a Moog Ring Mod for $99 at MF to go with my Outer Rings.
