Alrighty then folks. The Space Ring evolution is complete.

We have clean blend. We have Wormhole Mod. For your perusal. This, I believe, will be the Dead End FX final product.

My apologies beforehand, I mistakenly called the Wormhole Mod "Warp". Warp is already the Frequency pot.

The clean circuit can always contribute to the overall sound, even if the blend is all the way cranked to the effect side. You can just add more clean level, and blend it into the mix.

Overall, this mod has made this a much more usable platform for guitar. I haven't run dirt through it yet, but my guess is that with just the right balance, you can push the dirt out first, with the space ring coming it to fuck with the decay.

Features and layout have been finalized.

It's been sent for fabbing. Should be here in a few weeks.

"Wormhole" footswitch is a sonic texturizer, with it's own adjustment pot. There's also a clean circuit with adjustable gain, and a blend pot to mix in just the amount of chaos desired.

:joy: Cool man! I realized I had the transformers for this project, much to my surprise. I must have bought 5 or something. I do not however have a C1M pot.. though a B1M may suffice till my next Tayda order goes down. Thanks again for sharing this with us!

The B1M will do in a pinch, but the frequency range will be bunched up at one end. Just make sure that your transfos are TM's and not TL's (42-TM018). The TL's are a smaller footprint. I think the primary resistance is slightly different as well. Not a deal breaker, but the TM's are what we've tested with.

Here's the video of the Wurmloch in action. Laika Fuzz filling in for front end dirt. It only scratches the surface of the potential of this circuit. Tip o the iceberg really.

As usual, running my mouth trying to get some sense of what this beast does out there, so you can skip to 4:30 for sounds if my blithering annoys you.

yep, perfection, your work sounds way smoother, I cant really jam on guitar with mine for long, gets alot of use with noise synth stuff though...one trick pony huh? love it when people expect a ring mod to ...what...have midi? lol
anyway, I like the chuga chuga of the wormhole feature...and I dont hear a constant carrier signal

Well... maybe "one trick pony" was a bit harsh, but my goal was to make this more guitar/bass friendly. Setting up the clean and blend circuits to be able to over-ride all the ringmod noise was key. I love the way it can now "tail" into the decay of whatever your using in front of it. You can leave it on, but not have it completely overrule your signal.

Insofar as the carrier signal is concerned, that all depends on how much you crank up the warp (frequency). The bottom 2/3 of the dial is pretty quiet, but beyond that, that telltale whine (and mayhem) starts to take hold.

All in all, I'm pretty pleased with it. It's now a two trick pony.
