Send pedal from main chain to FX loop of other pedals

Post by Galaction »

Hello, I need some kind of switcher or any other simple tool which will give me the opportunity to send one pedal from my main chain to FX loops of my two other pedals - delay or reverb.

Can you suggest any variants?

Thanks

I remember this coming up a while back when Super Egos were more popular. Don't recall the answer unfortunately.

Could you use a Boss LS-2, with the options set to "A" and "A+B"?

"A" would be the normal main chain, with B being send only? (I'm not sure if that would work).

I'm confusing myself now. Best thing is to make a diagram. Check out the Boss LS-2, it's like a Swiss Army knife of switchers.

Maybe the Patchulator can do it?

I don't think the ls-2 will work. You need to be able to switch the input and output at the same time.

edit: found this, which is specific to the superego thing, but might be of use..."You can use an LS-2 if you put the pedals in series after the Superego and set the Superego to 100% wet. Although using that method the pedals in the LS-2's loop will be mixed with your original signal when the Superego is off unless you change the settings on the LS-2."

T1m makes The Dropout, which is what I couldn't think of earlier. It's for this exact thing. I am not recommending them, but that's the type of device you want to look into.

I am hopefully soon going to be trying out a Patchulator with just this sort of thing in mind. (Although the rerouting possibilities there seem awesome at tabletop level but superawkward if its on the floor.)

You could build something that would do this.. like an A/B pedal, but with an order switcher in the B .. ? I'll think about it a little more
