DD-5 reverse mode

how is the reverse delay on the EHX Canyon, any close to the Hazarai?

I keep meaning to check one of those out and always forget about them

oh ok, I was thinking of the straight reverse, which was really good - I 've been using the DD-7 until now and it's a bit disappointing.

this thread just made me buy a Canyon, THANKS so I'll let you know soon, but I didn't check if does have a similar 1sec+rev mode

I haven't heard anything really like it. I'm no delay expert though. I have had a DD-5 for over 20 years. Still my favorite delay.

So I'm an idiot. I guess I don't really pay attention to the modes. I use both of the reverses. The 1+R for the multitap stutter thing and regular reverse set long and ambient. Reckon I should sit down with it and remember what I'm actually doing when in use

I got the Canyon this week-end, love the "regular" reverse, sounds a lot like what I remember from the Hazarai, and much much better than the DD-7. Never owned a DD-5 so I can't compare unfortunately...
Also, I haven't really tried to get close to the Hazarai 1+R mode... but according to this post it should be possible? https://www.reddit.com/r/guitarpedals/c ... i_reverse/
(also I use it on bass, so I don't use it the same way a guitarist would I suppose)

Anyway, I am REALLY happy withe Canyon!

I really want to check out the canyon for the s+h. You can set the threshold to use it like the dd3 hold...but better?

I'm super interested in the s+h mode on the canyon too. the hold on the dd3 would be so ace if it went full wet. would also be awesome if you could make it latch. messing with the knobs while a sound is held is fuun

The manual says Canyon reverse is somehow triggered by playing rather than occurring at a regular rate. How does that seem to you? Can you make it get glitchy?

I don't know about glitchy, but it can get messy Indeed, it is triggered by playing, and then you use the feedback/delay for the rate. It reminds me of the Hazarai, but i haven't played one in I don't know... 6 years or so...
