Re: Super ultra high gain distortion like DOD Death Metal
Zoom Tri Metal? About as extreme and brutal as a distortion pedal gets without getting into osc, etc. Sounded like it was going to launch my speakers across the room. Pretty heavy duty build, too. Bunch of speculators on ebay trying to get crazy prices, but this one's reasonable. https://www.ebay.com/itm/142726887763
Also, its brother has just as much gain, but less built-in scoop to the voicing: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Used/Zoom/H ... t-Pedal.gc
Both have Treble, Bass and semi-parametric mids that can get disgusting.

Isn’t the Mantic Vitrol a death metal clone?

Tc has the Eyemaster out now too. No eq though. https://www.tcelectronic.com/Categories ... I’d keep the Dimebag even though I’m not a Pantera fan.... I mean something that dumb you’d have to just own it....
You're not looking close enough (turn the pedal over)BLOOD EAGLE wrote:also i know it keeps getting said that the Devil Tail is a clone,
but it’s more of a “inspired by” pedal.
it’s also missing the eq section.

Re: Super ultra high gain distortion like DOD Death Metal
the MXR Dime was a pretty cool pedal, and was an easy fix cosmetically (under the KFK EQ) wish I still had it.
it won't get you there but you should try an arion metal master because they are flipping awesome
Try a line6 uber metal that thing was nutty and the gate was super useful
I have been enjoying the Walrus Red quite a bit lately

Indeed it is, what I came in here to suggest. If you get a proper switch on the death metal it’s super reliable too.BoatRich wrote:Isn’t the Mantic Vitrol a death metal clone?
Also if you run it in parallel with say a Megalith or some other intense fuzz/ distortion it’s pretty much the most chainsaw, gnarlsbar crushing mess situation ever.

ALL THE GAIN!
All. The. Gain.
The concept of gain is something we often take for granted, and rarely do we stop to think about what the term actually means. In many ways, gain has been given a bad name; mankind has been tricked into believing such blatant nonsense as “less is more”, and other sophomoric terms like “transparent” or “authentic” are better. EYEMASTER brings back elemental, primordial gain – the kind of raw gain by which empires are either built or shattered!
It's so good..........although I am a bit tired of "built like a tank"

I’d pick up a Fangs used if I see one based on the ad

When I want molten beyond molten, Boss GL-100 rackmount wins.
Dual para EQs and more gain than a couple Metal Zones and HM2s put together in one circuit.

The Umiom is ridiculous in a way I really enjoy. I feel like I have to relearn it every time I use it (also, there seem to be several variants out there?)
