Anyone getting a Behringer model D?
This is looking mighty tempting. I read some reviews of people with actual Moog's saying it sounds pretty spot on - plus the ability to poly-chain the Model Ds.
The availability date keeps getting pushed back: was supposed to be March 16th and now it's saying early April.

I certainly might consider it if I didnt have those bases covered already. I know some people are infatuated with the particular sound of the model D, but in my mind I've got a couple big fat moogs already, and they both do the moog sounds. Or at least they would if I could afford to get them fixed.

It was on my list until it kept getting pushed back and I got a NIB Deepmind 12 for $649.
I'll be lost in that for quite a while.

I'm interested. A bit less now that all those future Behringer clones "leaked." Hopefully somewhere around here will have it to try.

I was interested, but I wanted a synth with a built in sequencer and got the Roland SE-02 instead. Turns out it has a one-octave keyboard built into the module.

Can confirm that for the money, it is amazing. If you can get over no keyboard, I would say the sound is about 95% of the way there. It nails the moog bass sound which is what matters to me. While I would still like a sub 37 i think this will hold me over for quite some time.

Yeah, the Neutron also caught my eye. Is it also $299?BLOOD EAGLE wrote:i will probably grab one, eventually.

Re: Anyone getting a Behringer model D?
for $300 i can very easily see going for this, especially if it'll work with the M-Audio keyboard controller i used to work with in GarageBand.

Re: Anyone getting a Behringer model D?
Pretty sure that price has been confirmed. It was listed on Guitar Center's website for $299 and then taken down shortly after. I plan to pick up one of those as well to go along with my model D.
Interesting fact: The model D can be chained together to form a POLY-D. For $899 you can have a 3 voice Model D and for $1199 a Model D with 4 voices.
This synth market is getting insane, best time to be around in literally all of history if you like making music.
