A friend of mine has been using that amp head for a few years, it bears no brand name.
Any ideas?

Looks like a Carlsbro.

Thanks! you're right. After googling, that's the Carlsbro 50 top head. I would never have thought about that brand... Solved.

Thanks guys. How's their reputation? Is it your good old underrated amp from the past, or is it just another Carlsbro? ;-)

I have never heard anything bad about Carlsbro. In fact I'm GASing for some of their early pedals (analog delay, flanger, etc.). A local shop had cheap Carlsbro 100W solid state combo amps 10 years ago or so. Not bad at all!
