i just ordered this and was wondering if anyone can tell me about how great it is or if it sucks. i got tired of getting outbid on spx 90's on ebay so i just ordered it judging by the youtube videos it has some potential imo.

My ambient noise duo thing uses one and it works great. Absolutely huge number of parameters to mess with. What kind of sound were you looking for in particular?
a friend of mine has the spx 90 and theres that gated reverb preset that sounds like a reverse reverb that i really like.it really sounds exactly like whats on loveless and the all i need track off of isnt anything.i doubt it will have anything like that though.that massive windy and carl sound would also be nice but i'm pretty sure you can only get that from 2 separate amps and rack units. in the end i'd really be satisfied with just a reverb/delay that lingers for a really really long time.
Well I'm actually pretty sure it can do all of the above. Theres a gated reverb and a reverse that can be tweaked quite a bit and it excels at massive long decaying reverb/delays. I'll share some settings later tonight.
I use a microverb 4 and if you want delays and reverb it does great as said before, the microverb also has nice chorus, flange and harmony/pitch shift.
after playing with the midiverb for close to 2 hours yesterday i found only 2 settings that are really really awesome which made it worth the price considering that they can be tweaked and stacked although i havent gotten that far. the rest of them seem like useless (to me at least) flanger, chorus and small reverb settings. not a fan of what it does to my signal either im planning on making a bypass pedal. any suggestions on what to build? thanks for the feedback btw
Don't know anything about the 4s, but I know Kevin Shields actually used a Midiverb II about 90% of the time, though the SPX90 seems to get more credit...

he has two of each in his live rig
But, that could be said of every pedal ever made.
