I think $40 is what I sold my first one for, maybe 8 years ago. The only thing I remember about it was liking the reverse (the other sounds are good too). Then again, it was my first experience with reverse delay, so maybe that's all it was. Kind of why I'm trying to get this one I reckon.

Skip to about 2:50. Nothing but shitty clips online, this one's lame too, doesn't do this pedal justice imo. Or at least not the reverse mode.
It gives a glimps of the somewhat glitchy stuttery thing that's going on beyonde the regular interpretation of 'reverse' that you get from most other delay peds...

The ehx mm w/ hazarai sounds great in it's own way, but it's different from the DD-5's reverse mode.

Have you looked at the reverse mode in the EHX Hazarai? Not sure if it is exactly the same but it seems to be able to get there with the decay knob set right?

and even if it doesn't get exactly there, it's still sooo goooood. I put myself in a trance the other night laying on the floor strumming the same 2 chords with reverse hazarai

I remember the EHX Hazarai to have been by far my favorite reverse delay. I switched to a DD-7 because the Hazarai was too big to use just for reverse delay on 1 song... but it was really great. I wish EHX would do a nano pedal that would do just the reverse mode of the Hazarai.

I never got the DD-5's reverse mode.

Granted, my first foray into reverse delay was a secret mode on my V1 Boomerang, and no other reverse delay I've had really came close outside of maybe the CT5, so.

I had a V2 boomerang and the reverse was alright but I definitely prefer that DD5
