Lock & Rock Effects

Post by elbandito »

Anyone seen these guys yet? http://www.lockandrock.com/

Their pedals have no pots, sliders or anything. Just three stomp switches to control everything. Obviously, that means that most of their effects are digital but that's not always a bad thing.

So for instance, on this guy (it's a phaser):

The top switch toggles the effect off and on.
The right switch chooses the depth of the effect.
The left one controls the speed.

Apparently, you can save presets as well, so that as soon as you plug 'er in, your settings are there and you can get right to rocking. Seems like a pretty neat idea. What do y'all think?

MADE IN TEXAS!

Haha, seems like it could be cool. Someone else will have to get one first though, I'm not gonna be the guinea pig for that price tag.

Seems like all the hassle of an eventide without any of the programmability (besides 1 startup preset).

  Well played sir.

I could see how just having three switches would be cool on a fuzz...for fuzz, fuzzier and rape.

a cheaper solution that doesnt involve any extra tap dancing would be placing a digital clock on your pedal board, which is still stupid.

wear a fucking watch.
