Our good buddy azx had a rad sounding percolator up for sale today that I just missed out on but apparently I'm not the only one with Perc Fever. He estimated between $75-100

i'm working on a board layout for this run. gonna do a slightly different transistor set then what i normally do. Still doing all silicon to keep the price down but i have some interesting ideas. probably will have Ge/none/Si diode switch as standard. might mess with MOSFET clipping per a suggestion from Neonblack. Still will be under $100 but will be real close.

While AXZ is going down in knobs I am going the opposite direction. Latest 5 knob percolator boards. Voltage starve, Bass control, Master gain, Volume and a Bias control. I really think my dirt search is over after building these but I may expand on this circuit some more(Perc/Muff hybrid, Perc with green ringer octave after, etc.). Will be listing some for sale on reverb soon.

Mines got an order switch and a boost in the same box, it's fun to change the ringer order. I tried voltage starve a little but it oscillated with the gain down oddly enough.

+1 GR first is super useful for using HP with single coils, esp in rooms full of EMF parasitics

I have green ringer first in my chain after my comp. It works great as just a noise gate too.

It's also really fun to run it into a gated fuzz and get crazy with it and then dead silence as soon as you stop. Good shit.

I Wouldn't be able to do it with OSHPark boards. (message me if you want me to give you some recommendations) I'm also trying to do everything with on-hand parts and Si transistors.

I love all the extra knobs, do you have clips of this latest version?. Ive Had a perc ringer in my files for a bit that i need to finish.

Missed the mentions earlier in the thread, but I just ran across some demos for the Latent Lemon Audio Hurts; really liking how that one sounds in the demos!

I'll second this.

A couple things worth mensioning, after using mine for a while:

Depending on the diode setting you're in, you may have to crank it to get to unity volume level.
The paint on mine seems to chip pretty easily, I doubt the enclosure is power coated. Not a big deal to me, just sayin'.

Otherwhise, it's a great sounding HP clone impo, with a fair price.
