And Weezer as well. Pinkerton was awesome, everything else is terrible and they somehow still keep churning out more. Same goes for Jimmy Eat World; two awesome records, then endless garbage for years.

So far I'm in agreement with basically everything in this thread (except Metallica, up to AJFA when they all died). Especially the fucking Doors and the fucking Clash man fuck that fucking shit right in the goat ass. And Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, The Cure, New Order, The Beatles (a few good songs, a lot of blah blah blah blah).

Heart had a few good AOR tracks but have you ever actually listened to the first 3 records? There's a ton of shit on there.

And MBV had like, a good "tone" or whatever but Loveless is kind of just okay. The songs aren't actually that good.

Sonic Youth's early stuff is pretty cringe worthy, but they have some great records. But like honestly I could just stick with Washing Machine and those SYR series and be cool, like who wants to hear Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo "write a song".

Also while the Uli John Roth era of Scorpions might be some of the greatest heavy rock ever made after Tokyo Tapes they turned into a bunch of wack bullshit when he left.

Actually no - I love Kiss but I don't think they're good musicians they just have an awesome schtick and made a few good albums and a whole bunch of shitty ones. Everything up to and including Creatures of the Night has a few fuckin' bangers on it, although always a few clunkers too. "And Then She Kissed Me" might be the worst cover to ever exist. But still... Kiss rules!
