Help figuring out my next (first) pedal purchase

Hey folks,
I just got back into playing electric guitar (after a fairly lengthy hiatus known as senior year of college) and want to get into the world of pedals again.
I play a 72' Tele thinline, two humbuckers, maple fretboard, through a 1x12 Fender-style amp. It's loud and really clean, and I dont have the luxury of cranking it.
Trying to find an OD pedal that will suit this rig (and hopefully tame some of the prickly highs.) Not looking for a gain monster, just a kind of chewy, light gain.
I've been looking at the MI Audio Blues Pro, as well as the D-Dyna ThinMan (not technically 'light overdrive', but I like the weird, 'wrong bias' sounds it can get)

Any recommendations of things I might have overlooked would be greatly appreciated

That in mind, I will second the Groundswell. Really versatile, and with the voltage knob you can get from a light OD to almost a fuzzy undertone. As well as cranking it for some super rad distortion.

Singing tree is my current favorite overdrive and algal bloom is my favorite non overdrive that can get overdrive.

Another vote for Singing Tree.
I've got the no-longer-available three knob but I'm sure the two-knob would get you what you need.
The clips online don't really do justice to the low-end clarity of the pedal.

hmm sounds like most of the votes are for the Groundswell and the Singing Tree. I like the idea of the singing tree..from what I can tell, it gets a sound not far from what I had in mind. However, I'm curious about how it compresses. In the video, it sounds like it compresses the living daylights out of your signal (but that could just be YouTube shenanigans).
Unlike alot of guitar players, I actually like overdrives that compress alot, because I have kind of a light touch and have issues with getting some overdrives to even 'trigger', because I dont always pick hard enough to reach the threshold at which the drive kicks in.

I would look at the Earthquaker Devices White Light OD. It can do a nice transparent OD with the Gain knob before noon and the weight knob at noon. It gets a really nice classic-sounding OD as you crank the gain. The weight knob can help tame the prickly-ness of a fender-fender set up. I use a strat into a vibro-champ, and the with the weight knob at about 2-3 o'clock it fattens everything up nicely. Lastly, the compression switch lets you choose between a compressed or a really open OD tone.

Also, get an Arc Flash. Crazy-versatile pedal that can really do some nice OD stuff if you're willing to play with your guitar's volume knobs. And you'll be set when you start craving some more crazy high-gain fuzz (which will happen if you keep hanging out around here )
