I am in the same boat. I pick a bass up every once in awhile, play fuzzy riffs, confirm that I can still play somewhat and go back to bleeps and bloops.

You do know the thing has an input, right ? And the sounds it produces can be processed ?
You can do a lot with this module if you consider it, like other modules, as a building block instead of "just" a full voice.

Lol yeah. Did you see my next comment about how I like to patch it?

Anyways, I think my issue with it right now is that given the size and limitations of my setup (6U 104), it either tends to dominate a patch or just sit unused.

Also, I was mostly bitching about how I hear other people use it as a full voice. Somehow it's not the most intuitive module to get the sounds I want to get out of it. Rings into fuzz or distortion actually does some really nice things because of the overtones. Can you tell I have a love hate relationship with it?

I sort of agree with this, but I'm not over the honeymoon yet so I still love it. Sometimes I do have to "force" myself not to use it because I love it so much.

There's a calibration procedure in the manual: https://mutable-instruments.net/modules/rings/manual/

Kind of unrelated but this is a video people here can relate to I guess, just replace the Push/whatever with a modular :)
