Behndy, I’ve liked your videos that use the e950 enough to get one of my own, might be here tomorrow or it might require a signature and have to wait until Saturday :0

And to that end thanks to everyone who posts audio or video up in this thread, I enjoy them a lot even if I don’t post about it in this thread. Others have said it but it’s true: I go to MW to get informed but ILF is the hang! This thread is proof.

I've always liked the Sherman logo. "MY EARS!"

Here's a spaz noiz ft. Equation Composer (og firmware), the best kept secret.

Also, anyone used an LXR Drum Synthesizer w/ eurorack? I am compelled by the trigger outs. I am compelled by the sequencer.

I just want to pop in and say I have started buying modules and researching as of two weeks ago. I'm planning a modular synth and I hate all of you for this what am I doing with my life.

But in all seriousness, I am super excited and plan on making an appointment at Detroit Modular soon to pick up a powered case/modules/cables and get some guidance. :yay: Shoutout to Worra and baremountain for the BST deals!

Welcome to the club ;)
Can't stress enough how great it is to go to a small synth store and get that kinda guidance starting out. When I was planning my modular, I went to Switched On in ATX and they let me sit at their huge demo rig for 4 hours, only stopping the few times other customers came in. That experience really sealed the deal for me.

In other news, I'm considering dumping my Malekko & Mutable stuff and switching to an *almost* exclusively Make Noise/Mannequins setup.
The immediacy of the Malekko stuff is lacking IMO - I find myself mainly loading the same sequences or just doing random sequences because real time programming isn't nearly as fun as I expected. Having 8 sequences simultaneously from the Voltage Block sounds great but I hardly ever use more than 5.

solo tunes:
completed works || loosey goosey releases
associated acts:
Raab Zamboni (fake jazz/real noise//sax, modular synth, editing, misc) || Field Guide (my best friends//sax on 2 tracks)

I make t-shirts, patches, koozies, buttons, CDs, sometimes tapes, and eventually i'll start working on pedals again. DM me for pricing!

Five pitch sequences? I use mine almost exclusively for modulation. That + the arpeggio feature rules.

I use it for pitch and for modulation, but it's not fun to program for me - it feels more like a chore than something exciting most of the time. Maybe keeping it around for a while to do modulation stuffs while I let Pressure Points and/or Rene do some of the heavy lifting with pitch sequences would be more intuitive for me.

Which Malekko stuff do you have?

I've kind of been down a Mutable lately. The more I hear Rings as a voice, the more I can't stand it. But it's a nice resonator... Only Mutable I want is a Blinds.

A Voltage Block & a Varigate 4+.

And I have been feeling the same way. I'm reluctant to get rid of Rings because it's great as a resonator but mine is a few cents out of tune (is this normal/adjustable???) and also I like it as a voice when used tastefully. It gets old real fast when you use it for every patch though. Also my Blinds is probably the next piece to go, I'll PM you!
