Please Help! My Favourite OD pedal died!

Post by Wizard »

So pretty much the Menatone Red Snapper is my go-to OD. Dangerous Ponies generally plays jangly indie pop, and when i need a little bit of that extra pizzaz i kick on my red snapper. it's transparent, it's perfect. Perfect. Well, the other day at practice i noticed a significant drop in my clean volume from direct and my pedal chain.. I end my chain with my tuner, which has a good buffer, and has never failed me before. So i retraced the steps, and sure enough my clean was cut in half through the snapper... now i know that it's a true bypass, but it had never done that before. i figured it'd be the footswitch, so i replaced it. But that just made it not work. Fuck. So i'm gonna call menatone and ask if they can like speed fix it to me if i ship it tomorrow, because i'm cutting guitar on the dangerous ponies record July 9th & 11th.

If the pedal doesn't make it back to me in time is there anybody out there who could possibly lend me their Red Snapper? It's dire.

i will love you forever and send you kisses and goodies pleassseeee hellppp meeeeee

I thought there was a Red Snapper up in b/s/t, but I can't find it now...

I can't help with your most unfortunate plight but do you remember in UHF (the movie) they had the "wheel of fish" and that lady tried to win a red snapper but Kuni gave her the option of "what's in the box" and there was nothing there and then she lost everything.......

What happened with the Snapper? Did you get it back?

Also, how about a Singing Tree? Do they get transparent enough?
