I love how he keeps asking if stuff can be circuit-bent and you can see the panic in the seller's eyes.

This dude did a clinic at the store I work at, and honestly this thing doesn’t seem to do anything? We have one in, and it barely boosts volume, the gate doesn’t do shit, and it’s really expensive. Also doesn’t have enough gain to push the amp at all.Chankgeez wrote:

We did it because many folks want a polyphonic octave dropped into our pedals. We've been making green ringer clones to do dirty octave up, but small vero/pcb octave down options are, like, not a thing. We are trying to show that we can adapt and do what people are asking for. The "new" thing we are doing with DSP octave is that we are dropping them into our line, which you cannot get anywhere else as an add on.neonblack wrote:Meh. It still warbles. I'd rather buy a pitchfork or a ricochet. I don't know why anyone is trying to make a digital octave pedal anymore if they can't do something new with it.Jesus Was a Robot wrote:The Fuzzrocious is only a drop in mod though, so I don't get it? I totally get it. You can get a normal DSP octave from EHX or elsewhere...trying to be different and push customization for our customersJesus Was a Robot wrote:The Fuzzrocious is only a drop in mod though, so I don't get it? I wish it was a normal pedal
1) almost. $100 basically means we make little to nothing as a profit for the hard work and hella parts that go into making it. It's "different" than what others are doing.echorec wrote:1) it forces you into supporting them twiceJesus Was a Robot wrote:The Fuzzrocious is only a drop in mod though, so I don't get it? 2) not offering it as a standalone means they don't have to design separate artwork & do a whole new ad campaign
3) it's not a pre-built design being shipped to dealers, so that's less enclosures taking up storage
4) they're likely projecting that it won't be a big enough seller, that they need to dedicate extra time to treating it as a cornerstone of their product lineup

This may be controversial but I do not believe that an overdrive pedal requires three tutorial videos.Chankgeez wrote:
