Pigtronix Philosopher King, but it requires 18V and is absolutely huge. I use an Accountant for compression and sustain.

Interesting! I love the HP sound.
The Dirge Even Anguish is really sick for ridiculous sustain. I need another Acountant to push it with.

Glad someone said Even Anguish before me cause I feel like I post about it all the time

This wasn't me...taken from the Dirge Instagram...

I tend to find that sustain is more guitar-dependent than anything else, but the Boss FZ-2, various big muff versions and LED clipping Rats will sustain for days.

I just ordered a Dirge EA. Soon we shall see!
Maybe partying will help.

I keep thinking I don't have a muff variation but that is not true. I do! I have a metal muff and when I last played it (in 2014?) I remember thinking I was SUNN O))). I don't remember if it sounded good but the note just wouldn't end!!

It didn't

Nah JK. I may actually buy a metal muff as you can literally get them for 50 bucks and it has a frequency selectable top boost. That seems like it's worth a look.

When in doubt, more volume. You can always fake sustain with feedback.

Reminding me once again that the Digitech Freqout exists and I've seen remarkably few of them but this could be a good answer to the original question.

Yeah, def on both counts. This is why the HP is so good at scratching that itch, esp with max settings.
It turns my particle board duo-sonic clone into a resonation generator :animal:
