I can let you know tomorrow about where on the bit reduction knob it seems to "turn off"
So it is true that the mod affects the high-end...but i don't understand why cause apparently it only changes hpf from 100hz to 20hz. I'd wish WMD would answer this but they haven't replied to my emails that I've sent 2 weeks ago.
Thnx for the bit reduction clarification in advanced, drmaxell!
I just tried a number of wave forms and seems to me that bit rate reduction isn't audible until u turn the knob from 8 down to the 4-5 range. Hope that helps.
I have owned the Civilian Issue and the big one. Both are great pedals. The CI is very limited compared to the big boy, but is cool in its own right. The big one is pretty amazing though.

Fantastic the Pro version finally has a release date, though the price is a bit of a buzzkill. I suppose it's still reasonable (with the highest tier Prymaxe discount) for the added functionality and three effects that are included. For now, I'll keep rocking the OG version.

When the initial prototype was unveiled for public viewing, WMD was trying to get it below $900. It's taken 6 years, but they've added 16 onboard presets and thousands of new sonic possibilities. I'm ecstatic that it's $449. I never thought this thing would get below $499.
Yeah the regular Geiger Counter is a tweakers dream... can imagine what possibilities can be had with the pro version.

I hated the Civilian Issue. I'm good with "endless tweaking" pedals if there are endless good sounds to be found. This seemed like endless tweaking trying to find something I could use.

I also hate the Civilian issue. In fact, it's the reason I never tried the big box.
I tried this at NAMM a few years back and it was fucking crazy then. I bet it's off the hook now (do people say that still?).
Anyway, I'd love to try one. The price is something that seems fair, but I'd wait until it's used to try one. Or a dealer discount. Not sure if I'd use 90% of what this sucker can do.
I bet it'd go great with modular stuff though.
