Electro-Faustus is launching something called the Theremorph. I'm not sure if it's a tabletop unit or a Eurorack module, but it looks interesting.

Changes parameter values based on heat as read by a sensor?

You hear that sound? That's the sound of every TGP member creaming themselves simultaneously.
According to this video, I still won't be owning a tube screamer.
1. Looks quite nice
2. Is still a Tubescreamer
3. Contains the word "Nu"

66% hell no.

Agreed, but despite having an awful name, those nutubes are some pretty cool tech. I played my friend's little vox MV-50 and it sounded pretty great, especially as you drive it harder. Still not interested in a TS type pedal but I hope some other companies try some cool stuff with the nutubes.
This popped up on my feed and I thought of my fuzz friends
I wish it was Nü Screamer for the inevitable Nü-Metal Revival thread...

*A Note From The Poster: I'm not even trying to be funny. I put the demo on and passively listened...truly could not hear the difference. I'm sure if I paid attention I would have noticed something but...nothing...judging from the YouTube comments (on one video) nobody is a fan  . This may something to do with the price though.

I'm actually somewhat banking on it becoming the common theme of gear people. The most unanimously disliked pedal based on principle.

The only Tubescreamer I like is the Palisades. :idk:

If EQD would make a Hoof with the same format as the Palisades...

I'm sorry for Eventide, EQD just passed them as the worst/weirdest promo makers. :poke:

a.) It's not even green. How could it possibly be inspired by a certain green overdrive of yesteryear.
b.) That would be awesome!
c.) My hopes/predictions for EQD this year include: some kind of high-end reverb that does NOT have delay attached to it, flanger, more non-muff fuzz
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

This was originally scheduled for a December release, but the Dreadbox site now says "May 2018." It is supposed to be available for NAMM demonstrations. (400 GBP, 500 USD)

The CES show is opening in 2 days, and it's expected that Roland will announce multiple new products there, in advance of NAMM. There may be a few DJ products and accessories also unveiled, but CES is expected to be dominated by 'smart home' products. Last year, Google's AI team shared some of the possibilities of its synth project, but I've heard nothing about plans to produce the NSynth (Neural Synthesizer) for the public.

I've been expecting a DSP reverb to complement the Avalanche, for over a year now, even though they already make multiple reverbs. I hope it finally happens soon. A flanger, RM, or trem/vibe/stutter box would also be cool. It's my expectation to be surprised with something quirky and inspiring that overlaps multiple categories (like Hologram & Meris' initial offerings).

Curious about the features and if it can knock out the Boomarang III.
Yeah I could really go for a compact multi looper. Even better if you can choose between sync'd and free loops. But I realize I'm probably one of like 12 people who would want un-sync'd loops :(
Then I'm #2 out of 12 ;)
#3, reporting in. Though I am not holding my breath for EHX to get it right. In fact, I have given up on hope of anyone making a phrase looper that excites me more than a DL4.
#4 here. At least, ya know, the option would be nice...
Every. Single. Looper has a fucking achilles heel, where I'm just dumbfounded they didn't include a certain feature. I haven't played the Boomerang, but I've messed with Dittos, DL4, 45000, and several smaller/never been in the running for 'best looper' type of devices, and I've never been totally happy with the UI.
I read the manual 20 times and I *STILL* could not get the 45000 to accept incoming MIDI clock, so it was pretty fucking useless with heavily clock-based gear. Then they hit you with not only a lack of unsynchronized loops, but EVERY LOOP has to be the EXACT SAME LENGTH. No recording a phrase twice as long once your master track is recorded. You could learn to compensate by just recording extra iterations of the riff, but that leaves you more open to messing up when doing, say, a 1/2 length loop. Also the lack of an option to set a default speed is a real head scratcher. Maybe this ridiculously expensive 95000000000000 will address some of this though?
#5 big time. I don't give a dang about sync'd loops. Boomerang III is really perfect for that stuff but if the new EHX has the option to fade loops out on their own accord, that'll probably sell me (Rang only lets you fade loops out by decaying the loop while overdubbing it, or fading it out over a max of like 40 seconds - lame).

Basically a combination of the Rang 3 plus DD-20 drone-looper capabilities plus another loop channel or two plus maybe some weirdo stuff would put me head over heals.
