I would love to see more sideways 1590xx enclosures. I think they're just right. Huge but not so huge you can't fit them anywhere.

That's the ticket. Both my XX boxes are sideways and it's fantastic. One is my Skyripper, and it has a ton of knobs and switches, but it doesn't feel like it. It's the perfect enclosure for 5+ knobs and 2 or more switches imocherler wrote:I would love to see more sideways 1590xx enclosures. I think they're just right. Larger enclosures? Fuck that, I'm getting too old for that shit. Going back to a Class-D amp with 112 cabs on my end.

So DAM fuzz pedals?BetterOffShred wrote:Marshall Major reissues and 4x15 cabs. And $450 single knob fuzzes with all 7 components hand picked and aged to perfection in a real cardboard box made from 30% post consumer fibers!!
I predict more spin chip pedals.

Edit: I felt bad after posting this because I actually do find most DAM (or eminating fist) circuits to be fairly magical, but yes definitely overpriced.

If there's a mailing list I can get on to be notified of these hypotheticals becoming actuals, and anything else residing at an echelon of similar awesomeness, I'd like to know.gnomethrone wrote:Ay carambaDungus wrote:Korg Bart Simpson Stomp and a The Boredoms Reverb Shop please

So, this is kind of lofty... Maybe not as lofty as JWAR hoping gear nerds don't complain, but probably a half chub below that...
I'd love to see a builder utilizing the spin (fv-1) chip either come out with a DIY kit or a ready made interface w/software that allows you to adjust parameters on the algorithm. The spin chip doesn't seem to have a lot of wiggle room as far as the number of controls and choosing what they do (at least at the user end)... I realize you could just go rack with a PCM-80 or something, but eh.. Just think it'd be cool to hook the pedal up to your computer and mess around with some parameters of the algorithm
Also would love to see one original design from companies that just like to diode and value swap

Just want to say that I fucking called it. Granted, I hope the Empress Zoia succeeds.Inconuucl wrote:Somebody is going to try to go modular on pedals and fail miserably. I'm not talking Console here, but like full on "patch the gain stage to the three separate eq modules to the tr00tube(tm) module to the out module to get a distortion" type of modular. It's going to be dumb and expensive and sound like shit but we are going to love it as we do, as we are programmed to.

Called the idea but the "failed miserably" part seems to be pretty wrong so far. The response to it has been great everywhere I've seen and it seems like a pretty innovative and well-thought out thing which isn't horribly expensive and certainly doesn't sound like shit.
