Sell my Fender Super Reverb and live only in the solid state bass realm
Buy a Randy's Revenge ringmod
Buy a nice Russian Muff clone

Build a smaller pedal board to tote around town

Rewire my giant collection of cabs for optimal volume and optimal trouser flappin'

Take my bass in for a setup

What year super reverb?

My goals.. build the other 30 pedals I have parts for.. maybe get a 9 string multi scale.. build a clone of a certain revered high gain tube amp..

I really want a multi scale headless.. but I'm pretty sure I don't want to commit to a strandberg..

The pedal building has been moving along at like 2 or 3 a month, so thats probably the continuation pace. The amp building .. I have it all spec'ed out and I already have the turret boards, so it's just more parts.. I may buy a head cabinet for it..

There's always something

Sell a bunch of stuff and pedge like a mother fucker.

Seriously though, I'm going to try and take it really slow.

Figure out my Mininova
Build this custom dirt pedal I've been sitting on for months.
Get a dc-2w if it happens, 3rd dimension if it doesn't.
Find a good deal on an h9 or two, if I have spare cash.

...hopefully that's it.

Very little. A module, maybe two. Might swap out my Sonor kit for some acrylics and put triggered LED strips in them. Set up some shows and get back out there with my one man noise setup.

Buy an analog synth (waiting until after NAMM). Get some better quality mics and record more. Put out an EP.

- Make a guitar board.
- Not add more to tabletop or bass board, only swap stuff out if anything.
- Learn to play the piano properly. I started really sitting down and learning the basics this year and I'm enjoying it a whole lot.

OP-1 or modular.

Put my essential pedals on a PT Jr and repopulate my PT2 with some more interesting auxiliary pedals.

Put Mastery vibratos on all my offsets.

That’s it I think.

Similar goals to last year, just scaled up a bit.

1: Sell like *cough*40*cough* guitars/basses and replace them with a couple super high end pieces I can use daily instead of every six months when I stumble across them in the guitar pile.
2: Sell maybe five amps (especially most of the heavy-ass vintage ones) and replace them with a couple much lighter pieces. Successfully did this with my bass rig over 2017, now it's time to work in earnest on the guitar stuff, which is much more challenging.
3: Finally get a legit banjo, mandolin, etc. Just keeps getting put off because it's much harder to find ones I like used vs guitar/bass gear, but I really do need to get it done. Would pick up a lot of extra work.
4: Finish the rest of my project pieces and move on any I don't need and don't take on any more until the backlog has cleared up considerably.
5: Start building an efficient recording rig.

1. Get anything Chase Bliss puts out.
2. Try and be vigilant for whenever PurPLL drops.
3. Maaaaaaaaybe get the Red Panda Tensor.
4. 80tape Signal Beam.
5. Dogmatek Red Fox Envelope Generator.
6. Sort out CV interface the DIY forum helped me spec. Builder pulled out being that it wasn't really his wheelhouse. I have a second-uncle who does synth stuff, but haven't been bothered asking him about it.
7. Get the quiet low-frequency hum in my newly acquired Port City Pearl fixed :/
8. Keep on the lookout for good Metasonix deals (i-cunt, ring mod, f1). Get any I can get cheap enough.
9. Sell off any excess.
10. Maybe float my guitar for trade and try and get a smaller-scale one that it slightly more appropriate for my tiny Trump-like hands.

That said, similarly to last year: the main thing I need to do is just utilize my gear more, which means actually setting up my pedalboard/tabletop. I've acquired a lot of effects over the last year and a half, and had a good amount of fun using 1 or 2 pedals at a time when I play - but I've also acquired a bunch of midi loop switchers, a massive flatboard I'm using as a tabletop, a midi ground controller + expression pedal. So it's a pretty ideal setup to make the most out of a pedal collection. But none of it is wired up because I've just procrastinated on making cables for like a year now - so not making the most out of it when I could be. So while I have gear goals, I'm gonna try not buy anything until I start wiring it all up. I've just avoided doing it cause i'm a shit cunt and it's gonna be such a gargantuan task considering the number of cables required.

Now's actually a good time to do it, cause I got myself a Lightning Wave DOOM recently, and it's gonna be pretty integral in the chain anyway. So grabbing a cable tester when I'm in town soon. Prob could just find a multi-meter, but it'll just make the process a bit easier.

Really though, I just need to find the motivation to start. And I'm a uniquely unmotivatable person lol. I think it's damn well 'bout time though. Was actually gonna start the other day, but then somehow I fucked up my back and neck while cleaning my workspace in preparation, and for the past week I've been less-than-mobile as a result -_____-

Why?
They are so ducking good!

My gear goals:
Etch more pedals.
Up my knob game.
Put some alumitones in my V.
No new pedals. Maybe upgrade from Xero standard to deluxe. Maybe a BD-2, and maybe a DS1. Otherwise nothing.
Case for my V
Keep my pedalboard unchanged all year.
Use more effects.
Play guitar more.
Record another album.

1) Sell my Twin, never bonded with it
2) Find a different 2nd amp which is really not needed anyway
3) Actually put together final lineup for a pedalboard and try to swap things in/out
4) Maybe make a 2nd board for a few extra pedals, both boards would be similar to a PT Jr in size but a DIY build
5) Decide to keep and expand the tabletop setup, or go modular
6) Put out another solo album
7) Get the band to play our 1st show
8) Maybe play a solo show
9) Keep up on the ILF collaborations
10) upgrade my turntable
11) try to do proper gear demos

Fix my combo amps and sell them off; all of them are compromises.
replace the emgs in my LP with anything else; but don't sell the emgs. They are good for loud clean guitar. Get low output humbuckers to retain clarity or fuck it and go dimebag. haven't decided fully.
New bridges on the basses; the stock Gibson/Epiphone bridge is fine but I want great.

1) Sell off stuff I don't use / haven't used in 2017
2) Get a baritone guitar
3) Get a synth app for iPad to see if I actually want a hardware synth or not.
4) Set up a proper practice / recording area
5) Maybe get a ct5 or Tensor
6) Record stuff. Release stuff. Maybe do a show.

JUST REMEMBERED EDIT
7) I heard a demo of the Strymon Deco last night and it did that warbly old tape degradation thing which I wasn't aware it could do. It seems cool so I wouldn't mind one of those either.

1) Do an ass-kicking demo with my KORG 800DV in combination with the Copilot fx Broadcast.
2) Finally fix my KORG Trident (lovely 8 voice analog synth/brass/string beast).
3) Do an ass-kicking demo with my KORG Trident in combination with the Copilot fx Broadcast.
4) Record other pedal and synth demos.
5) Finally do a BOSS SYB-3 demo that I wanted to do for many years!
6) Purchase a KORG X-911 Guitar Synthesizer (hopefully!).
7) Finish the KORG vintage effects website that I have in progress for over a year.
