Cool online shops for weird stuff?
This has probably been covered before, but I couldn't find it and also, the internet is always changing.
What are some cool online shops for the weird/rare/boutique effects and synthy things? I'm mostly looking for tabletop/pedal stuff, not so much modular. I know about perfect circuit, analog haven, vintage king, etc. Any other cool ones I should know about?

JWAR's shop.
Modular Addict (DIY), Detroit Modular, Front Porch Music (they sell online a bit), Caveman music (just via their website and store in LA), Austin Vintage...depends on how small and local you want to get I think

Small/local often translates to terrible website and/or low stock/selection. I guess I'm looking for primarily web-based places that have weird stuff, but aren't so modular-focused.lordgalvar wrote:JWAR's shop.

What does JWAR sell in his shop? (I'm afraid of the answer to that question)

Coast Sonic is kinda the smallest pedal seller I can think of since tone factor kinda disappeared (and that noise one that used to sell masf). There is Ninevolt in Japan and a few more online shops (will have to look at the name again...they are retail stores with some online presence). Robot Speak in SF (well, they used to sell pedals). After that I think you'll mostly be looking at older ones like musictoyz and those weird wholesaler sites and dj focused ones like pitbull.
MeMe Antenna is pretty cool outta NYC. They have a good website. Axeandyoushallrecieve was good when I ordered from them.
Front Porch used to be the seller for short runs of Sanner pedals and Caveman does sell those kinda small runs too (like Macaris in the UK...cept they got more street cred).
The European pedal distributers have cool stuff every now and again, never ordered though. Juno.co.uk , Fuzzmonster

Switched On here in Austin is pretty great, but I'd say probably most of their stuff is covered by Perfect Circuit or Analogue Haven. Maybe Big City Music? Rock n Roll Vintage in Chicago has also expanded pretty heavily into the synthy world...

Forgot about big city. Noise Bug Pomona maybe too (heard some mixed things...mostly about buchla clones and a weird partnership)

None weirder than the ILF Shark Tank, honestly
But also:
Marbeau Synth (post-Rucciesque goodness)
Control NYC (mostly modular, with a few surprises)
Switched On posts some weirder gear in their Used section every few months or so, as a majority of it seems to get a once-over by their repair dept. before sale.
And all jokes aside, Jwar does custom etching FWIW.

ModularAddict also sells those meng qi /ciat Lonbarde boards. Some of the modular stuff can be converted to other formats easily (like CGS).
JWAR does excellent etching. He may do my wife's valve cover on the Mustang. I think I'll have to find someone with a TIG though. Down the road thing we talked about.
Still, he has a knack for always having something unique for sale.
