D*A*M Super Bee in da house

Post by Kayzer »

I picked this baby up 2 days ago and its been a long time since i was that blasted away from a fuzz pedal! Its a lot different from the 1966 which was not my cup o tea! The Super Bee has a lot more balls and grit and works perfect with humbuckers! Compared to a meathead its a lot more transparent and it makes some kind of ultra pissed bass guitar sounds on my neck humbucker and slays like a fuzz should slay on the bridge! Thanks to David Main for taking the time and effort to come out with such an amazing pedal and also to Joe from V&R who was so kind to hold me this pedal while i was on my beautiful vacation!!!!

Interested in it being more transparent than a meathead...it sounds angry enough :joy:
Florian is hooking me up with a fancy meathead, so I guess I'll have a frame of comparison after that

Its a bit more focused and changing between your pickups has a more drastic effect and yeah its angry...

Flo is pretty eager about getting nice stuff done, whats pretty cool imo...

Yea he's been incredibly responsive and eager to please.
We chatted about incorporating features from a few different meatheads in mine...that way I can decide which I like best and eventually get the real thing

I take it you're digging this one way more than the super bee mode on the 1966? I know Dave did a few tweaks for the stand alone bee.
