Well I quit soldering and painted a few enclosures. I did up my Black Acid enclosure, plus my "Shoelaser" and the Schumann Lion i finally got working. I Also painted the bottom plate for my PLL. Definitely going with hot pink.

The shoelaser is just a soda meiser into a Torns peaked, and when I built my soda a year ago I built a transistor swapper for the last stage. It's a USA fuzz when it's oriented one way and a soda when you flip it, so it's on a toggle and I figured I'd include that functionality.

I've been painting multiple layers and then sanding through them a little to give it a weathered look. I'm pleased with its appearance

Well tried the daughter boards and they work great, but I don't have a reliable source of negative voltage without making another daughter board.. so I just decided to go with the AC power. My adapter puts out 13.8VAC no load, so I'll just use the 337 and 317.

also re this, the negative one i linked previously should convert a Positive DC voltage to a negative one, sounds like you have everything worked out with the AC adaptor anyways at this point so i would not worry about it, but just for a future project perhaps, it should invert a positive DC voltage input to a regulated negative one, so you can power boththe positive regulator and the negative one with a single +9 Volt input, which was the original reason i linked the smps boards, sorry if that was no clear and or sorry if that is not what those boards ended up doing

hmm maybe they sent you the wrong one then cause even in the description it states

1>. Input Voltage Range: 3.6V-36V

2>. Output Voltage Range: -1.5V to -36V; output voltage stabilivolt characteristic; load adjustment rate is lower than 5%

not sure what a "stabilivolt "is though to be honest now that im looking more closely lmao.

It's NBD. I didn't want to have a ton of daughter boards in there anyway and the AC adapter was cheap. I needed it for my two face board anyway. I appreciate you chatting with me about it

Well I got the drone and momentary stuff all wired up. Not the best wiring, but it could be worse.

I think on the actual box I'm going to move the 12 way selector closer together and closer to the middle.

Speaking of which, does anyone know how to put a "stop" in this style of rotary so it only goes to 8 or 9 positions? This one has 12 and it just keeps spinning all the way around.

Some types have a pin washer you can lift and twist and drop the pin into the slotted top to stop the rotation, some types don't. If you're able to spin it over 360 degrees I'm guessing you've got the latter.

I ordered a large batch of smd J201's finally and some adapter boards. I'm getting sick of the 92 package ones being shitty. I ordered the smd ones from Mouser so hopefully they will be good to go. I have a real fine tip for my Weller so hopefully that will work on them. Any suggestions on other jfet to score on smd? I think I have some good 5457 and J113, and mpf102 still in 92 package.
