Charvel necks are tits too IMO. I have an early 90's (I believe) Charvel and it's so bomb. Plus I dig Floyd Rose trems

Can anyone recommend a good replacement bridge pickup for a jazzmaster? I have a classic player. The guy I got it from replaced the neck with an AVRI pickup. Should I do the same for the bridge? The stock bridge pickup has no balls whatsoever. It's all thin and trebly. I need some chunk! Obviously a blk tri LITS is the answer but it's not available, and I'd love not spending 100+ dollars on it.

That, and they're handmade and apparently the product of a lot of trial and error and testing. And it seems like he likes making pickups with ridiculous output too. They do seem catered to the doom/metal crowd for the most part but I had a set in one of my old guitars and they did sound pretty great. From the description of the LITS, it's exactly what I want my guitar to sound like.

Any alternatives to a DS-1 I should be considering?

They aren't that expensive in the boutique pickup world I don't think. They're what, half the price of EGC pickups? Lollars are all about the same/more, Curtis Novak's are more, Fralin's are more, Kline, Revel, Bareknuckle, etc. As far as handmade, boutique pickups go, the price seems to be edging towards the lower side of that market.

They do look awesome yea, but they sound so fucking good its insane. I use a Black Knight Satellite and Fury in my Tele and the amount of sounds (and output level) of them will basically cover any conceivable guitar sound pretty well. With a dimed volume pot the pick ups themselves will push tubes to breaking up.

There's so many devices I prefer that it's hard to really say, and I don't k ow what you're playing through or what sound you're going for. I've been enjoying my Black Forest a lot lately, Boneshaker, MXR custom badass.. there's just a ton of great OD/distortions that really cover you there.

That being said, for how much cheese the DS-1 goes for, there's not much in that price point. Though I feel the Boneshaker is more pleasing in every aspect, though a little different.

Constant psa: Boneshaker shits in the cereal of low output signals, so make sure to have the proper pick up/a booster to slam that biz. :thumb:

Novak JM Fat is perfect for that. Costs $12 more than a BLK TRI.

What power supply would you folks recommend for a PT Nano/4 pedals? Volto? It'd be nice if it fits under the board nice and out of the way.
