I like the 'kooky' delays as much as the next guy, but get you a DD-(5 6 or 7) and profit. They are such solid delays for cheap as fuck used and great functionality. I have a DD5 and I'll never get rid of it.

So many delays to choose from. What are you thinking about, CBS?

I'll stan for Caroline all day. Love the Kilobyte. Shred's right on with the DDs. Rock solid boxes and the analog sound on the DD7 is nice.
Effect confession: I really want an Ottobit, but I'm afraid I won't be able to use it to it's fullest.

Analog or pt2399. Maybe boss dm2w out something. I only want simple simple simple and sounding good.codetocontra wrote:So many delays to choose from. What are you thinking about, CBS?
DDs are cool but it's less the sound I want. Not that I'd throw one out of bed I guess. The Kilobyte is cool, that was the last delay I had but I guess I got bored of it for some reason

Definitely sold off some gear for no other reason than boredom. So many simple analog-esque delays out there. For me, delay is critically important and such a personal choice so I am curious to know what you end up with. Unless your SS delivers...hahaha.

I'm thinking of selling my Nemesis to get a Polymoon. Not sure yet.

Pineapples to pears. I liked the Nemesis (great value, solid sounds, user-friendly package), but it didn't grab me like the Polymoon. I sold mine and haven't been in a rush to replace it (though I will eventually). The Polymoon is something that I loved in the first 10 seconds. I will say the Nemesis does analog voicings better. The PM is really ethereal and lush and inspiring, but it sounds more like something from another planet than a Memory Man or an Echoplex. My favorite part of the PM is that it's made my other pedals new again---I'm always looking for stuff to combine with it (modulation, other delays). Bear in mind that I play synths 99% of the time, and if you're doing dirty guitar tones + delay most of the time, then I'm not the best reference point.Inconuucl wrote:I'm thinking of selling my Nemesis to get a Polymoon. I love the tones from what I've seen of the demos, actually! And I would use the polymoon like something akin to a Dispatch Master on steroids. It sounds like a Rack delay with all of the weird intermodulations and tricks, then with the slightly resonant Filter it has I'm likeechorec wrote:Pineapples to pears. Polymoon sounds like what I wanted BASTL Thyme to be...going to wait for Thyme before turning GAS to ten....Inconuucl wrote:It sounds like a Rack delay with all of the weird intermodulations and tricks, then with the slightly resonant Filter it has I'm like![]()

I built a Black Acid clone today.. tried out some old metal can BC109s and a few other things, it sounds weak through my test amp. Need to crank it up through the Mesa.. anyone have one of these ? It definitely likes humbuckers.

Yeah I love the Baretta body style and would want to put in Super Distortions and a 50s neck and make it into a sledgehammer.
