Well, I do know of the Marshall 18-Watt amplifier. Not sure that it will sound completely like a JCM, but it does supposedly get the plexi sound pretty well.

I think Ceriatone makes a kit that is based on the schematic. There's also the Mojo Musical Supply kit.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Her: "Why do you need to build 'some more' amps?"
Me: "Because that will make me happy. That's important for you, right? For me to be happy?"

well I gave that as a referance, what I really mean is some thing tlow watt to cover the metal teritory. I found 1 amp on line but it is $400 I want to build my own. The one online had a 6v6 and 2 preamp tubes I think 12AX7. It was metal enough but I want to build one my own self.

If you're building yourself i'd suggest checking the AX84 forums... Couple of High gain low wattage designs there, other DIY ones that come to mind are Frequency Centrals 'Murder One' Amp which does the cranked thing at low volumes with Sub-Mini tubes or Doug H's Firefly which does a Marshally tone at 1.5W.
