I'm down with .wav. I got some ideas that have been in my head for a while, but I don't have a band and I would prefer to not program drums. I got Mixcraft 4 (yeah, windows garageband not protools) I would love to work with you talented fuzz addicts.
I am loving this so far, especially now with aen's contribution. If this is still going on in a month or two, I'll definitely be seeing if I can add something to it.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

so i took a shot at it and i swear it sounded good on my 4 trak till i dumped it back into my computer.. once i sent it to my player from the music program it got "normalized" and lost volume and frequencies im thinking maybe thats why all those drone/noise labels stick to tape.broader range? shouldnt even post this..but here it is http://soundcloud.com/moltenmass/ilf-drone_3 ill give it a shot again some time

That's a pity, it sounds good already, but most of what aen did gets lost in the mix. I can hear myself in the back but aens moog is almost completely covered. So you still have it on tape? Maybe you should try and use audacity and just record it from the tape onto the computer. I always use that program, it's free and does everything I want it to well. What did you use to put the tape onto the computer?
I'm too lazy to re-read this thread, so can someone who just wants me to mail a cassette or cassettes of various ambient textures of varying lengths just let a brutha know... and you can use them in whatever way you like.
I have nothing else going on... I need sumthin' to do!
Last weekend William Basinski performed his piece "Vivian & Ondine" in the atrium of the old Brooklyn Board of Ed. building. All kinds of slow droning tape loops on two 1/4" reel-to-reels and his laptop. Was amazing! Go tape!
