I’ve thought about one of those a couple of times and I’m selling a Plexi tomorrow so I could actually afford one...worra wrote:Your and You're rev 1?
I like Devi’s stuff a lot actually, I always forget about her fuzzes. I might try oneactualidiot wrote:Honestly it sounds like a Soda Might/Meiser would be good after the HM-2. With the gain dimed, I get these "inter-oscillations" between notes, with some upper octave. The Might is a bit more tame the Meiser, so the latter would probably be better. Someone with cooler knowledge of fuzz could probably guide you to something similar.

Also very curious about that. CV control would actually be pretty cool with other gear.actualidiot wrote:Or that.worra wrote:Your and You're rev 1?

This fucking thing!!!
Huge pic is huge to match the fuzz it coughs up!
Ridiculously heavy, but gates incredibly well. I’m really sad I got rid of mine.
The Mooer Fog is another one, but it’s a Wooly Mammoth clone, so if you didn’t dig that, you may not get on with it either.

To me, rev 2 is far less usable as a straight up fuzz, the pitch of the frequency oscillations is just too loud and it kinda buries what I’m actually trying to play. I did a side by side test video, I’ll find it somewhere.BoatRich wrote:Also very curious about that. Malekko stuff, maybe? B:Assmaster or Diabolik do the angry gated stoner rock thing.

I use a TAFM for this. Totally silent when not playing and fricken huge when you do play. Mountainking is probably also rad for this. And the Soda Meiser is nasty on bass, it is what I used to use on recordings when I was younger.

If you want that gut twisting sucking-your-breath-out fuzz go with the Mountainking Magnetar or Heavy Machine. Magnetar is definitely synthier - it’s the further developed (and way more versatile) version of the Devi/MK Supermassive Black Hole

I remember really loving my heavy machine, that was another thought for this board for sure. This is like the third Magnetar rec though so I’m gonna look into that.DannDubbleEwe wrote:If you want that gut twisting sucking-your-breath-out fuzz go with the Mountainking Magnetar or Heavy Machine.
