I see you're manipulating the Digitakt's output yeah? Are you also controlling ya modular with it? How does it fare as an actual instrument?

Make sure to remove the s in https, my dove.qersty wrote:
Has anyone heard of this? I like the concept because I really dig music made in trackers like breakcore and shit and it is cool someone adapted it to modular. even though i cant use a tracker

Could be, i don't remember. I think i'll just try it. I get what you're saying about not needing it both ways in some sense. Many mixes that i'm just doing for myself or fun or to share or whatever i'll just go straight from the stereo outs on my eurorack. The stuff I want to put out on an album may need many parts and re-use of the same modules in various ways so it makes more sense to piece it together in the DAW. I just like much of it to be free flowing and then add to it but almost recording parts as a live mix that develop as they happen instead of preconceived so it does make sense for me to have the attenuation and muting capabilities. I can get what i want just running to an outboard mixer so i may just do that..... however, it may be smartest to take advantage of my ADAT input on my Apollo 8 which will give me 8 more tracks that i can always keep plugged in and keep the other 8 open for non eurorack things. That's why the ES modules or a mixer with ADAT out is intriguing.Dark Barn wrote:It is possible that the advice you are getting here might have used the word destructive and you thought the word degraded. It should be possible to use a mixer in line between your Euro and DAW and not degrade anything, but your edits will be destructive, meaning you can’t undo them in post production. Apologies if I’m making wrong assumptions here.Ruiner wrote: I was thinking the easiest solution is just routing individual outs of each track to an outboard mixer with individual outs and running that through the inputs on my interface to the DAW but also heard that's going to degrade the sound and not the best way to do it...

I caught that video the other day and it has me pretty interested. I love sequencers, and music tracker sequencing was something I was ignorant of until seeing this video. Now I really want to try one, if I ever see one pop up used it will be difficult to resist.qersty wrote:

I'd be more afraid of electrocuting myself. Some of the stuff he's built is downright dangerous. Cool, but dangerous.Inconuucl wrote:Edit: That guys studio is so messy it's giving me anxiety thinking I would accidentally topple everything.
