Re: FMeron
This is relevant to my interests. 1 - It's Iron Ether. 2 - It's a different take on the old squarewave synth octaver that has been around ages. 3 - It will save me bringing my SHS10 keytar to rehearsals just for occasional FM bass duties. Last night I did play some bass and synth at the same time, or rather in turns, but it's much easier to have that in a pedal.

Two points: Joe Bonamassa is a blowhard and the bass player in this video has amazing chops, they might not be on display for this demo but he is very very good. He can also apparently be very good AND have esoteric interests in weirdo pedals at the same time, meaning he is a more evolved person than Joe Bonamassa.

Bonamassa aside, does it do the FM bell sound?

Re: FMeron
I would hope/imagine it can produce a bell-like sound, with the attack/decay set appropriately.

I'll give it a try. I honestly never tried that in the months and months I've owned it.frodog wrote:I would hope/imagine it can produce a bell-like sound, with the attack/decay set appropriately.

Re: FMeron
Love FM synthesis is seemingly perfectly executed in pedal form.
If you don't like the future of music that is fine, and I agree that sometimes people hide behind pedals, but it's all personal and there's no creed.
I know I'd leave more inspired by a Sonic Youth show than a blues show...I imagine some others would feel the opposite. No one is wrong until you're telling someone else they are doing it wrong.

Synth pedals are usually of no interest to me, but this seems so slick and well executed.

It's so much more than a synth pedal, that's probably why.ritz wrote:Synth pedals are usually of no interest to me, but this seems so slick and well executed.
I was going to do a demo last night and totes forgot. LOL! I'll do one soon. Damn it.

I'm definitely curious about the "more than", the strange edges of what it's capable of.Jesus Was a Robot wrote: It's so much more than a synth pedal, that's probably why.
Also, like sharkie, really want to know how this handles when you feed it different inputs.
