So i just took a listen to the Seymour Duncan Deja Vu tap delay. honestly, it sounds pretty sweet, and I expect reliability from Seymour, considering i have a pickup in my beloved strat. but does anyone have any experience the deja vu?

Not sure about the toy, but the boy ducks (or has "dynamic delay"), where the delay signal "ducks" out until you stop playing. Pretty cool.

For the OP, you need to just get out there and try some delays...delays are a tough one because they are one of the most subjective pedals.
There are hundreds of delays out there and everyone has an opinion on one.

It's not as clear cut as fuzz where you can say "I want cleanup...I want splatter...I want low end...I want laser gun noises"
a lot of delays descriptions are silly hype words (dark, bright, lush, murky, soupy, warm) which are purely opinion in many cases

Example: The DMM is largely considered a bright analog delay (maybe the brightest), yet some people still refer to it as dark in comparison to a digital delay.
There are some that call me...morningstaru?

the main problem is what's available for me to play in the area. the closest shop to my house carries boss and ibanez pedals. that's it. i wish i could play all the others, but i can't, so i'm relying on others opinions at this point.
speaking of ibanez pedals, what's the opinion on the Ibanez AD-9. i played it and it sounded good, but i just was curious about others experience with them. and i didn't get to hear if it has oscillation or not, so there's another question of mine.
