I guess.
Still no shipping info for mine, and I backed the thing in the first day (or half day)...
Yeah I kind of feel like being in the first little batch was actually more detrimental than anything. Wrong bolts, poor packing, broken parts....at least they're changing things as they go. I'm happy other will have better experiences.
And hit them up with an email at folktek @ gmail.com. The only reason I had a tracking number before I got mine was because I emailed them. I just asked if there was any way to get my tracking number since I still hadn't received one and I was an early backer. They were very quick and nice to respond. I know they said that they were sending out early backer's tracking number manually due to a glitch in the program they used, and I feel like a few were skipped; you may be one of them.
Antlerface wrote:Yeah, I've got a ton of shit rolling around in the box for mine. Started as five pieces. Put the modules back in the box. One more piece fell out.
Didn't even put it together. All three boards have broken parts. All hope is lost.
I emailed. It's been four minutes and no response. SOS
Oh man, that's really bad. From the looks of things, I'm only seeing one part that may fall of Mental and 6 parts that may fall of Motion. The other components seem big and bulky enough that they should be able to take a pretty good beating. Unless we're talking front panel parts? Or just a really negligent postal service?
Antlerface wrote:I mean, these boards were all stacked with a layer of bubble between them. I would say this packing job was amateur at best.
Yeah, I'm having trouble looking past that. It wasn't event a thick layer of bubble. I really don't understand why they didn't just pack every module in separate boxes. Especially since they were offering modules standalone in their Indigogo so they would have been packing some individually to begin with

I don't think they're a poorly run company, at least I've never heard complaints about them in the past. I do think this was a poorly managed project, but it probably shouldn't have been a surprise; they're used to small run fairly custom stuff, not mass market large runs like this.
This shipping fiasco reminds me of the time Soundpure.com shipped my $999 reverb tank with no packing material in the box, except this is not as bad since it didnt happen to me. Still sucks though.
