You're just, you know, not nearly as gear-savvy as you think you are, and that's kind of obvious from your posts about gear.
No I just do t have the time to make 27,000 posts about gear like you. I can crush you in gear knowledge, you don’t know me at all... you’re basing this off me asking about boost pedal recommendations because I never had to use one, and the fact that multiple people in that thread suggested multiple different things on placement, you’re really bitter over that huh. I’ve only posted on here for suggestions and this is the first time I’ve actually sat through a thread, it’s easier to ask then read through a zillion nonsense posts till I find what I’m looking for to be honest.
No I am basing this off of your posts in this thread. Which are bad. They are bad takes. They contain little of anything that could even be misconstrued as merit.

And you have yet to post anything informative or anything proving my opinions on gear or anything else to be false. You’ve literally come at me with “no you’re wrong”... you haven’t disproved anything I’ve said or been able to provide any evidence that your opinion on what I’ve said is inaccurate. I’ve also stated that everything I’ve said are my opinions yet you haven’t responded with any of yours but have said my opinions are wrong. You’ve said I don’t onow what I’m talking about with gear but haven’t pointed out what I’m wrong on either.

My theory about gear is that most of it sounds pretty good. I enjoy playing and listening and I don't believe in a mythical Tone that can only be achieved through the correct combination of items, which is an idea the industry needs you to believe in so you will continue to buy things. I try to rely on lived experiences instead of prescribed knowledge. Here's an example: prescribed knowledge tells me the stock pickups on my cheap telecaster must not be very good. My lived experience tells me that they sound great and I have no actual complaints about them. Prescribed knowledge tells me to have the "best" and "pure" tone, I must keep my signal path completely analog. My lived experience tells me that I enjoy the sounds of analog devices and digital devices and using them both in the same chain does not have an appreciable effect on whether or not I'm getting the sounds I want.

Like a lot of people I went through a period of analyzing what the devices are made of instead of what they sound like, but eventually I realized that my interest in the equipment wasn't academic; it can be fun to learn more about how the stuff works, but my main interest is in playing and recording, and the more time and energy I spend doing the former, the less I spend doing the latter.

I said in a previous post that what I do is boarderline obsessive, if you like your guitars tone and sound that’s fine... but take your exact Guitar and put a better set of pickups in it that we’re scatterwound and there will be noticeably better sounds that come out of it. This doesn’t mean you should change your pickups if you’re happy with them, all it means is it could sound better. If I put my Matchless up against my friends Marshall DSL it is noticeably way better in tone and it’s not even debatable, that doesn’t mean he should buy a Matchless, it just means that something out there sounds better. I’m a junky for tone so I do what I can to make it as good as I can, doesn’t mean anyone’s wrong for what they play I simply asked why and have my opinion.

Dude, you cannot prove anyone wrong about gear or tone because *cue the more you know music* ITS ALL PERSONAL PREFERENCE AND SUBJECTIVE.

@infamousalien  I remember reading the troll battery thread and was in stitches!

My short philosophy on gear...I just buy shit. I like to read about how things work but that seldom has influenced a purchasing decision. You've all sold more records than me.

You’re spending a ton of money on pickups yet you’re not even getting handwounds. What you’re buying isn’t much better than the stock pickups that came in your Guitar. Yes Duncan did do scatterwound at some point but the majority of the production now are machine wound. Are you just comfortable going with what you know and not venturing out? There are so many great scatterwound pickup makers, you’ve already gone deep into the boutique pedal world, why not go deep into the pickup world and make a bigger difference on your Guitar tone? And yes I am saying scatter wound is better than machine would and I don’t think that’s arguable haha.

From Duncan's website:
"As with all of our P.A.F. style humbuckers, every Pearly Gates is wound on Seymours original Leesona winding machine from the early Gibson factory in Kalamazoo."
Read what I wrote “a majority are no longer scatterwound”
Read what I wrote. Are you saying the majority of SD pickups aren't PAF style? Isn't that what you tone junkies are after anyway? Can you hear a difference in batteries in your fuzz pedals too?
No but my pedalboard runs more efficiently on isolated power than a daisy chain... and that’s my point. My pedals can run on a daisy chain just like there is comfort in SD pickups but my pedals run better on isolated power just like my guitar sounds better with scatterwound pickups.

Only if you count those I've traded in for store credit at Record and Tape Traders.
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

My 2 cents on the OP

Guitar pickups are merely magnets interpreting what a guitar "should" quote unquote sound like. Therefore you are already reinterpreting the signal from the strings. As far as I am concerned the signal is already fucked with from the start. Digital/analog doesn't matter as long I am expressing myself and my musical vision accurately.
