Might be worth checking to see how Pladask Elektrisk does the switching on their pedals where its a short press for latching and holding down the switch for momentary. Its all in the software regardless so the cost shouldn't change aside from R&D time.

Definitely latching if the switch isn't noisy. I can push the switch twice (stutter on-off) just as easily and quickly as I can hold and release a momentary switch. I never want stutters to last less than the amount of time it takes to push a switch twice.
However, if the switch clicks loudly it's a deal-breaker. I'd take silent momentary over loud latching any day.

Momentary.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

The Raptio seems like it evolved from the Hold function of the earliest Boss delays. MASF just took that idea to its extreme. I used the hold function on a DD5 to get my stutter on before I got my Raptio and rEvolver.
The more flavors of glitch, the better! Let’s get Baskin Robbins up in here!
I’d like it to have a momentary switch, for on the fly loop destruction or accenting (read: mangling) leads!
I’m interested in putting this on my board, and I still want a Stamme[n] & a Raptio v2...

What I should have said is that the question proposed makes me very excited! Everything you do is so interesting and well-designed. I trust that whatever comes of this will be more than worthwhile.
