Zs was a life changing experience. By the time I saw them it was a quartet. Four guys sit in a square, facing one another and start with these rapid burst of song. No announcement or introduction, just burst, after burst, after burst. The timing of these burst were ridiculous and as you hear them playing so tightly, you notice the sheet music. They write their music and then play it. That was the track off their Hard EP. Next was a song with shifting tempos at the drop of a hat, dual vocals, and weirdness entitled "Nobody Wants to Be Had" from the album Arms. Two songs and twenty minutes later they play their last song from their newest effort New Slaves, which was this:

The title track "New Slaves" is another twenty minute venture that is sure to leave you wondering what is music.

Oh it was.
I just got the vinyl of the album and I must say, it's the only way to really listen to this album. So much happens. This album...oh man, this album!
