I am embracing my destiny.
I think my output jack is wonky though. Works fine with headphones, not great with 1/8th to 1/4 out. Any ideas?

are you using 1/8th TRS to 1/4 TS adaptor? I have to use one of those rather than a TS to TS or mine goes weird. Ground contact issue?D.o.S. wrote:I am embracing my destiny.

Is the headphone jack significantly lighter than the 1/8 or 1/4 jacks you are using? Just thinking maybe the weight of the jacks is lifting a trace from the pcb where the socket is connected.D.o.S. wrote:Two separate 1/8 to 1/4 TRS cables and an adaptor, also TRS

Prob that! ^^^ Those 1/4 to mini adapters are so heavy; I've found using adapters like this can ease all that pressure right at the jack:
Derp posted the wrong one at first. This is what I meant. Also a little longer is better if you can find it...
Fuck me this is not my morning. Too early for my copying and pasting to work, apparently. Stereo mini to 1/4 female, the kind with a little length of cable between the two ends.

not sure if anyone wants this, but it has saved me a ton of time filling up cards for my grannys.
http://digdugdiy.com/granny2kit/
granny2kit is a lil application i made awhile ago that helps auto rename your .wav files within a chosen path to the granny naming scheme (A0....ZZ)
the README explains it all in more detail. its pretty simple to use and will copy your sounds first to a new folder to avoid renaming your original sounds.
does NOT at all affect your ability to sample & save live sounds as u normally would
these are reserved filenames that start w/ a number instead of a letter. like 1A or 7P.
u would still need to make sure your .wav's are in the correct format before loading onto your card.
i believe its 16 or 8 BIT, 22050 Hz, MONO .wavs but refer to the bastl documentation for specifics.
PCM always works for me if u have that option of .wav type.
get a batch .wav converter program. there are prolly several free. i use a free one called SWITCH.
for OSX only
but prolly could whip up a windows version pretty easily if anyone is interested. i think its pretty easy atleast...

Been messing around with the MG this weekend. Running it through the Plague Bearer that I was thinking about selling. Match made in heaven.

Eurorack module.

I think my battery is dying in the MG, so that might have made it sound cooler.
