Looking for suggestions for doom rig

I'd look for a line6 Spider iii, or Spider ii. In that order probably. Insane mode sounds pretty much like Vol. 4.
Combo is nice and portable, you can get a 1x12 extension cab if you need.

Also get ready to be suuuuper bummed when you drag your massive rig up on stage and the sound guy just keeps going "turn it down. Turn it down. Keep going. Little more."

Last show I played the sound guy didn't even bother micing the guitar cabs, which would have been okay except he elected to mic the squacky piece of shit solid state amp our drummer plays synth through.

I'd throw a Traynor into the ring with a Mig-50, decent blend of clean and dirty. I'm also into old solid state commercial amplifiers, but am under the impression that no one wants to sound like me, so you may as well keep moving.

Amp worship fan here I would still go peavey if I wanted loads of amps. They have a tiny power amp that is stupid powerful, get a good pre and you're golden

I'm more just looking for a 100+ watt monster that compliments the MIG, I'm only running two amps and the equivalent of two 4x12's. I've looked at Peavey Windsor's/Laney AOR 100's (JCM 800 clones), but I don't know a ton about other Peavey's, or running pre/power amp combo setups.

The windsor isnt my favorite but theyre cheap and plentiful and will give you something to work with. With your budget you can do better but if you see one for like $250 buy it and abuse it. Other peaveys will have much more clean headroom which is something I like, but that's my preference. If you want more crunch the 5150 is kinda the go to. Do you like what you're getting from the mig when its cranked and pushed with some fuzz? If that's good but you just want something more, do like fuzzonaut recommended and get like a wet/dry situation going. Split the A to some fuzz into your mig and then send B through some modulation, reverb, delay, pitchshifting, or all of the above and then to whatever other amp you get. Its a good way to create a huge sound without your actual playing disappearing into the soup.

This is the kinda shit I'm looking to hear, sounds like an awesome idea! Yea, the MIG sounds great pushed. So if going that route, something like a Science with a transparent loop would be ideal, yea?

Plenty of high wattage, low price, clean/loud/doom friendly Peavey's out there.

Mace - 160W
Deuce - 120W
MX - 120?W (the only one on this list with a SS pre, if that matters)
Roadmaster - 150W
Rockmaster - 120W ( the thurston amp. Always wanted one of these)

Shipping is always the killer on these, but you can usually find at least one somewhere, any day of the week, in the $200-$400 range.

I'm in the doom-dude with a Traynor(actually 2) as well.
I usually run my YBA-1 fairly clean with pedals and a 412, but when recording or just making a racket in the rehearsal-space I love running it with my 215 (which has some inefficient speakers) so I can get some awesome poweramp distortion without going (completely) deaf. Sounds awesome as both clean and dirty amp.

Back when I had an amp worship setup I was running a SovtekMIG100 + a PV 2x15 with an OR120 + Ampeg 4x12 or an Orange 1x15, or I'd put my Peavey Mark VI into the 2x15 and run the MIG into the Ampeg.

But! The last time I played with a Sovtek MIG50 I just used the Orange (because, duh, best amp I've ever played etc) and they were very complementary.

That said,the last "loads of amps" doomy/drone band that I've seen with really great tone (aside from Sunn, but that's Sunn and that's gear porn levels we're not talking about here) was a drum and guitar duo where the guitarist powered three or four stacks with one of these:

And, again, because I have been on the periphery of this stuff as a fan and participant since it really started to take off in the early 00's, I gotta say that something like that is particularly attractive to me now since I know first hand that it's not a significant dealbreaker as far as tone.

I think that while the Zoroaster/Juicifer effect is cool, for drone especially you don't need massive volume as much as you need sustain, which can come from amp volume but doesn't have to.

Also worth looking into, old Mesas. They sound great and aren't particularly "trendy" at the moment, so they're great deals used. Especially once you get past the triple/dual Recs.

I've been looking at the Orange OR 120's, only thing I'm worried about is the lack of a good effects loop between the two amps, read that the OR 120 loop isn't very good. Worried about lack of clarity with reverb/delay.

Can't speak to that, I'm talking about a Voice of the World era OR120 which doesn't have an FX Loop, just an echo in and out.

Well I mean, you don't need the extension cab. It's a pretty capable 1x12 as it is. I think it's rated at 75 watts, which is more than enough for most purposes, unless you're like Stephano Raymundo or something.
