Question to the ILF Collective

Post by juggernaut »

Howdy
I'm searching for a bass friendly effect that really gives you that extremely heavy seasickness effect. Preferably with an awesome delay and vibrato but with that seasick effect but you can bring a note/notes to a very extremely slow stop and back. Like a warped vinyl but super heavy slow seasick warped effect.

I think Chris Carter off DIYstompboxes (Diablochris6) is almost done with a leslie style speaker rotating emulation board... called "The Vomit Comet" his demo's sound pretty wild. Of course it'd be a couple boards and you'd have to solder it and box it. Just something to look at

Most modern Leslie sims will do this, they're instrument agnostic (as they're commonly used on keys etc).

Find one with a fast/slow and stop switch, and programmable options.

I do it in multifx and can select clean blend as well if I want that.

First thing that comes to mind for the slowing/stopping is not released yet - the Red Panda Tensor:

For the seasick warbling, maybe the Chasebliss Warped Vinyl:

Or the Cooper FX Memory Loss:

Or the Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water:

Or you could go over the edge and look for an old Digitech Space Station...

E&A TapeT, Pitch Pirate Deluxe, Warped Vinyl, and of course a CT5 set to unity pitch backwards, nice and slow.
