No, import taxes are the same across the UK. The only taxes that are different regionally for your average citizen is 'council tax' which tend to be based upon the value of the property you live in, so if you live in london your property is generally worth more, so you pay more tax (same deal applies even if you rent your place).$harkToootth wrote:I agree to an extent. Incidentally, never got a customs charge for any of my Seppuku pedals (and believe me...I HAVE A LOT OF THOSE)
Do you have to pay additional taxes for being in London? I was under the impression for a lot of things London tax is in general different than UK tax.

Re: LYRA 8 Organismic Synthesizer Thread
We get charged import tax on anything worth £15 or more (including the cost of the shipping from wherever it was sent). The second you go over that £15 value you pay 20% tax + handling of around £2/£3. If you go over I think £25 value incl. shipping cost the handling cost becomes £8/£12 depending on the company processing. If the value is over £135 you pay the 20% VAT, the £12 handling charge, and 2.5% Duty.

Looks like people have finally started receiving their Bastl Softpop's. Initialy audio snippets on instagram put it very much in double knot territory for me..... However I heard a couple of clips that were super acid-y$harkToootth wrote: This thread is like a 'youth center' where the troubled avant-garde kids can play.
