It's basically like a pretty solid modern workplace comedy (in English, anyway) made more interesting by its absurd juxtaposition against the setting. Got some pretty good laughs out of it.

My coworker showed me a scene from Norsemen. It's that awkward, cringe-worthy The Office type of humor - at least the particular scene he showed me was. I may or may not check it out.

I tried the 7-day free trial of Starz on Amazon Prime in order to watch all of American Gods S1. All I can say is

I really am looking forward to this "The Punisher" series... I hope they do Frank Castle right and let the blood flow. The Ton Jane movie with John Travolta was savage and enjoyable.. I didn't care for the other entries after that. The original with Dolph Lundgren.. that was pretty legit haha!

Finished Lost. Man, the show was awesome up until season 3-4 and then it just went batshit crazy. Still enjoyed it, but stsrted losing interest.

I didn't hate the ending, which is apparently unusual.

I think I might be a psychopath deep down.
Literally, every time I watch a show where the protagonists are being screwed over I immediately think, "why don't you just kill everyone?"

That's probably why I like Rick and Morty so much.
Any time Rick's slighted or even mildly inconvenienced he kills everyone.
It's perfect.

Since it doesn't pop up in the search, y'all need to see The Wailing. It's definitely a slow burn, and after you watch it you should look up some of the Korean customs portrayed in the movie, maybe even rewatch it for the added context, but it's an awesome movie

Gravity Falls is way more adult than I expected.
It's basically PG Rick and Morty.

I love how inconsistent Star Trek can be. One minute, Picard laughs as he's stabbed through the heart and they chuck a robot heart in there and he's fine. Another episode, people die instantly after being poked with the space equivalent of a swiss army knife.

I watched it when it came on Hulu and loved it. It's a bummer that it's so short, but it's a pretty self contained story with not a lot of filler at least. There's a Gravity Falls easter egg in Rick & Morty (Rick opens a bunch of portals and the items that got sucked into the portal Stan opened fall out). Alex Hirsch, the creator of Gravity Falls is friends with Justin Roiland, which is why they've both done voice acting parts on each others' shows.

TNG loves to hand wave that stuff with little asides, like Picard saying to Wesley (in the previous episode where they reveal he has an artificial heart) "...lucky I was so close to a Star Fleet Medical facility".

Hulu has a bunch of new premiers on.
Inhumans is a joke. Actually, worse than a joke.
The Good Doctor could go either way.
Ghosted was super rushed.

Nah I didn't see any of it. Dolph Lundgren is pretty sweet though.

I liked Punisher: War Zone, just because it was so nuts. Ray Stevenson plays Frank Castle as just a relentless psycho in that movie. It's pretty weird, just because it is so unreal and comic bookish in a lot of the tone and visuals, but takes the character of The Punisher and the violence so seriously. With the possible exception of the parkour guy getting shot out of the air with a grenade launcher (that is somehow a heatseaking missile).
