I've owned a zvex box of rock and loved it. When I tagged a video with "zvex. is. boring." it was a joke. Get over it. If you were so careful to look at the tags in the video you might also have noticed my demo of the zvex box of rock and me loving it.

Secondly, even if I meant Zvex is boring, that doesn't stop you from buying, playing, and enjoying Zvex's effects pedals. So stop your whining.

EDIT: And this forum started with Devi Ever, so that may be why a lot of us have a few of her pedals.

i'm not even sure where the zvex teasing thing came from (drama on HC maybe?) but it's getting pretty stupid and i don't think half the people here have played or heard a pedal. funny how there's been a bit of joking around about TGP lately and how elitist they seem coming from here

i don't think half the people here have played or heard a pedal.

Actually, I've played and/or owned every pedal zvex has made (aside from that silly inventobox) maybe its partly from me living in MN.
Some are pretty sweet and I give him props for that, though I've always had to modify mine or just get a power plate as the battery only thing is incredibly inconvenient.. I think vex would be more appreciated and more people would try his pedals if they did have more options to power themselves. (Of course, he may have done this by now, I haven't seen or played any of his recently) I'm not meaning to get too far into vex bashing, but the ones I've owned all broke down at some point and many I tried in store broke there.

Also I've met vex. He isn't a nice man.

Alot of places are anti-zvex because as I see it, he has an... undesireable presence as a marketer for alot of places and people find his attitude to be not in keeping with forums general vibes so people tend to hit out at him rather than the products, but, his products are alot of his personality so it's easy to hit out at them too. It doesn't neccessarily mean people find them to be bad products (although some do) but due to his attitude choose not to buy his product on more of an ethical stand point... that's how I see it from where these arguements stem.

But then again... This is not a serious issue, but the internetz is serious!

I hope there's not a "zvex bashing bandwagon"...

To explain...some of the zvex bashing here comes from him attacking ILF members in the past, from Newark, to Bobby D, to me. (I didn't mind him attacking me in the least--it was amusing and he got me a few extra sales. )

Most of the dislike comes from the way he's acted on Harmony Central. It's not because of the prices he charges for mass-produced boutique pedals (again, he can charge whatever he wants, imo), it's because of the way he's acted many times in the past.

This is to explain the source of the "bashing", not to continue a debate that's been had dozens, if not hundreds, of times.

My point is, I don't think there's a mindless bandwagon of zvex bashing, and if there is a bandwagon, vex bought them the wagon.

--If someone dislikes him or his pedals for their own reasons, they have every right to. Especially if he brought it on himself.
--You can also dislike someone, but still like their pedals.
--You should also be able to dislike one or two of his pedals w/o being called a hater.
--Look up the old thread, where this debate already happened, and you`ll find plenty of Vex like and dislike. More like than you might expect.

I can see why the people he's directly attacked have reasons to dislike him, but I don't dislike him or have a personal problem with him. Honestly, the only time I ever even think about him is when people start threads like this. Otherwise, he's not on my radar. We're not doing the same "thing."

and wondered why everyone thought so. He does make cool stuff,just too expensive,IMO. As far as him being a douche or not goes,I don't know. I have talked to him on the phone and he seemed a'ight. But that could've been because I was all"oh boy,fuzz factory!" But Tom,Eric,Copilot,Devi=way better than zvex,just my opinion. Nice avatar though,Night raven
