seems like a lot of people go out of their way to find something to be pissed at.

and i get that gender/race/sexual orientation bits are VERY much an issue.

but not every fucking thing is about that. meh. SILLY.

also, looking at my plans for new rack and a bit torn. definitely want a Quadra. those are just so pimp and make sense for the space. but i was going to pair the Quadra with a Quad VCA, and...... for the same space i could put 3 Korb Modular DVCA's, which would give me 6 VCAs to play with, or a pair of Korbs and a Happy Nerding 3xVCA and have 5 VCA's in 2hp less space.

help. what do.

Do you like to tweak knobs while a patch is running? If so consider the space as much as the possibilities. Quad Vca can mix and saturate and normalizes the CV inputs. Also something to keep in mind.

But really, it doesn't matter  the paradox of choice isn't going away so don't worry so much about what's best, because the best is not attainable.

Lads, I've been working on using my modular setup as a live rig.

I need something that has a few knobs with a lot of outputs on each knob, which can simulate turning multiple knobs on other devices (idk if that makes sense, but like - instead of manually turning 3 filters' frequency knobs at once, I can turn 1 knob that will turn the 3 knobs via CV). What kind of device accomplishes this?

ALSO, I think I've gotten a little better with this.

This video starts with the Morphagene mangling a little bit of digital piano from the OP1, then things get going with the Atlantis, Shapeshifter, and Digitakt. Rings/Clouds/Three Sisters provide accompaniment.

The whole thing is sequenced with Monome's Grid, which I've finally wrapped my head around (at least the Kria mode, Meadowphysics makes my head hurt).

Sounds like a job for a buffered mult, in conjunction with something like Pressure Points, Precision Adder, Trogotronic m11, Tetrapad, etc.

BEST IS THE GOAL. IF PERFECTION IS UNATTAINABLE WE WILL REDEFINE PERFECTION. JOIIIIN MEEEEEEE.

jia. i had a Veils, never used the normalized out, and don't really play with VCA knobs once they're set?

HURM.

urf. why does it take so long to put a rack together? i mean, already planned the butts out of it on ModGrid.

but, this is what i want to focus on until i get the STRNGR:DNGR rig in.

Sick rig, dude. I just discovered INSTRUo and they look super interesting. How do you like that TROIKA?

Also: super jelly of the micro MI stuff. Looks so much more appealing in a smaller form factor.

Hmm. I have a Pressure Points (2x + Brains) and am not using it (surprisingly enough). It used to be my control centerpiece but the Grid has immediately taken it over for me, and the sheer real estate necessary has been replaced by other modules. I'll look into the other options. I remember seeing the Tetrapad and being intrigued a while ago. Should be coming out soon.

I would look at something like a precision adder or an old Intellijel Triatt and use stackables on the outputs.

thank you suh! getting there!

lol. annnnnnnnd i think i might have bricked the uClouds trying to put Parasites on it. it went into update mode fine, then did the All LEDs Are Red thing that is s'posed to mean that the audio signal going in is too quiet, but it's the exact same setup i've uploaded firmwares to a full size Clouds and Warps. i tried 3 different version of Parasite and a version of Kremel, then the official MI firmware and..... nothing. one time it started and then said the signal was too quiet after about 20 seconds. i am confused.

WHAT DO.

EDIT - talked to dooder that built it, he said it sounds like it partially updated then crashed, which probably wiped the code on their. so. yay. BUT. he offered to send me another one, after uploading Parasites to it, while i ship this back. how sweet and good customer servicey is that?

if i wasn't going on vacation Saturday, i'd order a cheap jtag programmer from Amazon and try the reload myself. but it wouldn't get here till after i leave, so it will take about the same time realistically to do either way.

nice guy. appreciate the support a LOT.

also, Troika is BEAST. this is the first patch i tried with it -

I feel like the 352 is way more limited than the two separate modules?

This sounds great but I would like to hear it at, like, 150 bpm. :p
